About
The Heart Behind Concierge Cocktails
I didn't set out to build a career in hospitality.
Like most fifteen-year-olds in 1997, I just wanted a pair of Nike high tops. My mom made a deal with me: if I wanted them, I had to earn them myself.
So, I walked into a little neighborhood pizzeria in south suburb of Chicago and got my first job washing dishes.
I thought I was working for a pair of shoes.
I had no idea that one small job would shape the next three decades of my life.
Growing up, my family moved often for my father’s career. Before graduating high school, I had attended four different schools across several states.
At the time, I hated always being the new kid. Looking back, though, it taught me one of the greatest lessons I would ever use in hospitality.
Adaptability.
Learning how to walk into unfamiliar places, connect with new people, and make others feel comfortable became second nature long before I ever stepped behind a bar. Over the years, I worked my way through just about every position hospitality has to offer; from dishwasher and busser to the hostess stand, from a server to a bartender, and front-of-house manager. Along the way I mastered the art of Mixology. I've worked in family-owned restaurants, corporate concepts, dive bars with no stars, five-star fine dining, high-volume nightlife, private events, and everything in between.
Every job taught me something.
Every guest taught me something.
But the greatest lesson had nothing to do with food or cocktails. It was learning that every person who walks through the door has a story.
Some are celebrating the best day of their lives. Others are searching for a reason to smile. And often, the smallest act of genuine hospitality can change the course of someone's day.
The quiet guest.
The overwhelmed bride.
The guest attending their first event alone.
The grandparents soaking in every moment.
The friend who's traveled across the country just to celebrate.
Every person arrives with their own story. My goal has never been simply to serve cocktails. It's to make every guest feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Because kindness, patience, and hospitality should never depend on someone's circumstances.
That belief has shaped the way I approach every event.
Over time, I realized that experience isn't measured by the number of years you've worked.
It's measured by instinct.
It's anticipating what someone needs before they ask. It's noticing the little details that everyone else misses.
It's creating an atmosphere where people feel relaxed, welcomed, and taken care of without ever realizing how much work is happening behind the scenes.
Those instincts aren't taught in a training manual.
They're earned through years of showing up, paying attention, and caring deeply about the people you're serving.
That's why I created Concierge Cocktails.
Not because I wanted to start another mobile bar. Or be just another event bartender slinging average drinks.
Because I wanted to create the kind of experience I believe every host deserves.
One where the cocktails are beautifully crafted. The service feels effortless. The details are thoughtfully handled.
And the host gets to enjoy the celebration instead of managing it wondering where the night went.
Whether it's an intimate backyard gathering, an elegant wedding, or a corporate event, my focus has always been the same. To create a space
Where people connect.
Where conversations linger.
Where laughter comes easily.
Where memories are made.
Because long after the ice melts and the glasses are cleared, people rarely remember exactly what was served.
They remember how they felt.
If Concierge Cocktails can make people feel welcomed, cared for, and completely present during one of life's biggest celebrations...
Then I've done exactly what I set out to do.
